Prospect Vale Dog Park

Pitcher Parade, Prospect Vale, TAS

4.7(6 reviews)

Prospect Vale Dog Park, situated within the Tremal Reserve, provides a generous and well-kept space for canine exercise and socialization. The facility features a primary fenced off-leash area, secured by a double-gate entry system designed for safety, as evidenced by the 'Shut the gate mate!' signage. The enclosure utilizes a combination of wooden post-and-rail fencing reinforced with wire mesh. The terrain is predominantly covered in healthy green grass, offering a comfortable surface for dogs to run. Natural shade is abundant thanks to a row of large, mature trees bordering the space, and a modern skillion-roof shelter provides additional cover for visitors. The park is part of a larger recreational complex that includes expansive, flat sports fields equipped with professional-grade floodlighting. While the images do not explicitly show water fountains or waste stations, the overall infrastructure suggests a well-maintained community asset. The atmosphere is peaceful and open, with the surrounding landscape featuring gentle slopes and residential boundaries, making it an ideal spot for local pet owners to gather.

My favourite off lead dog park in the Launceston area. Two separate, fenced, off lead areas and an on lead area with lovely scenery and a little creek. …

Can recommend this dog park. Whilst I'm not an expert in this and only have my son's dog for 2 weeks, the Kelpie slept really well after going here and meeting other like minded owners and their dogs! Has a large fenced area with open areas, off leash areas, grass, water and bush land.
