Maryland Dog Off-Leash Area
3 Ajax Ave, Maryland, NSW
Maryland Dog Off-Leash Area is a vast, open-plan recreational space situated within a residential suburb. The park is primarily characterized by its expansive, unfenced grassy fields, which offer a significant amount of room for dogs to exercise and roam freely. The terrain is largely flat with some minor slopes, and the ground surface is predominantly natural grass, though some gravel and dirt patches exist near the entrance points. While the main dog area lacks a perimeter fence, the sheer size of the space provides a sense of openness. Facilities at the site include a children's playground equipped with a climbing wall and swings, situated on a protective wood-chip base. For visitors, there are basic amenities such as park benches and trash cans. The park's perimeter is marked by a mix of mature trees providing some natural shade, a nearby railway line, and prominent high-voltage power lines. There is no visible evidence of dedicated water stations, dog waste bag dispensers, or separate enclosures for different dog sizes. The overall atmosphere is peaceful and spacious, making it a popular spot for local pet owners.

10 reviewsThere are some toys that your dog can play with but you have to put them back in the box. 😿 So we took a ball and bat for the dog. The dog had plenty of space to run around. In a couple of minutes he was already tired and we rested for a little while. There are seats to rest. Recommend for Dog People. …

A bit muddy when it rains but reasonable size so dogs can socialise
This new facility will be open soon to the public to let their excited pup's 🐕 🐶 dogs let loose and burn off that excitement as well. Opening soon, guys. …

Very good with the new upgrades. Would give 5 stars if there was more shading for doggy parents
The worst dog park I've ever been too. Just a fenced of square bit of grass. No dog waste bag dispenser. Pathetic effort from Newcastle council
The new park is great except the big mud puddle area. I love to let my dog run free with other dogs, but I don't want to have to bath him every time we go there. Other dog owners have also voiced there concerns.
