Wildcherry Dog Park

26 Maple St, Castletown, WA

5(8 reviews)

Wildcherry Dog Park is a versatile outdoor space that caters to both canine companions and families. The park is characterized by its expansive, open grassy fields, providing a large space for dogs to exercise off-leash. The terrain is mostly level but features a small grassy mound and natural elements like a large fallen log and rocks, which add variety to the landscape. Mature trees are scattered throughout the area, offering natural shade, while several park benches provide seating for owners. A significant highlight is the well-equipped playground area, which features a distinctive boat-shaped play structure and a climbing frame with integrated slides, all sheltered by large shade sails. The park is enclosed by a combination of chain-link and metal fencing, separating the play areas from the surrounding industrial and residential zones. Practical facilities include visible trash cans for maintaining cleanliness. While the primary surface is grass, there are some sandy patches in high-traffic areas. Its proximity to the coast, indicated by a nearby pier, adds to the scenic and airy atmosphere of the location.

Great place to let your dogs go for an off lead run, and meet other dogs (and their owners).

Thank you Esperance council for providing this great off leash park. We are on a caravanning holiday from interstate with our 2 small companions and this is one of the best doggo areas we have come across. Love everything about it . Thanks you again!

Recently renovated and looking really good now. Tall fences, two gates to prevent any pups from escaping. Plenty of room for doggie activities. Two separate sections, one for large dogs and one for small dogs. …
