Gloucester Reserve Dog Off Leash Area

70 Esplanade, Williamstown, VIC

4(7 reviews)

Gloucester Reserve Dog Off Leash Area is a sprawling coastal park in Williamstown, Australia, characterized by its vast open spaces and scenic waterfront views. The park primarily features large, flat grassy fields that provide ample room for dogs to run freely, as indicated by its off-leash status. The terrain is diverse, transitioning from manicured grass to rocky shorelines and sandy beaches along the water's edge. This natural setting is home to local wildlife, including blue-tongued lizards and black swans. While the reserve offers a tranquil atmosphere with beautiful sunset vistas of the Melbourne skyline, visible facilities are minimal. There are paved walking paths and some natural shade provided by scattered trees. However, the images do not show enclosed fencing, agility equipment, or specific dog-related amenities like water fountains or waste bag dispensers. The park is adjacent to a sports oval with a grandstand, suggesting it is part of a larger community recreational hub. Overall, it serves as a picturesque, unconfined space for pet owners to enjoy the outdoors with their dogs in a coastal environment.

A great walk to Centennial Steps, looks like a good place to let dogs run off the leash

A standard dog-safe patch of grassland. In walking distance of both Williamstown beach and the marine park. Nice place to settle down in after an afternoon in the area. Only weird thing that happened is a pelican tried to poop on me!
