Wesburn Park Dog Off Leash Area

2804 Warburton Hwy, Wesburn, VIC

4.3(16 reviews)

Wesburn Park Dog Off Leash Area in Australia offers a sprawling and versatile outdoor environment for both pets and their owners. The park is characterized by its vast, open grassy fields that provide ample space for dogs to run and socialize off-leash, set against a beautiful backdrop of dense native forest. This natural perimeter offers significant shade and a peaceful atmosphere. The ground surface is primarily well-maintained grass, suitable for active play. While the park features some low-level rail fencing and sections of chain-link near adjacent structures, it appears to be an open-style park rather than a fully enclosed secure pen. Beyond the dog-friendly zones, the facility is a significant community hub, featuring a large sports oval with professional-grade floodlights for night use and a high-quality asphalt pump track for BMX and mountain biking. The presence of paved paths and nearby buildings suggests a well-developed infrastructure, though specific dog-related amenities like water stations or waste bags are not immediately prominent in the visual evidence. It is an ideal spot for those seeking a large, scenic space for high-energy exercise.

The whole place is just treated as an off leash area by locals who think rules don't apply to them , the entire time you are at the Wesburn reserve you are likely to be harassed by other peoples dogs , unnecessary conflict dealing with inconsiderate people '

Needs a fence as we saw a car speeding past at around 60 km/h where dogs or children could easily stray.

Good open area to throw a ball. water available for the dogs. Not completely fenced, but quite adequate for our Whippets with their level of training.

Lovely large park with a dog agility course. Toilets for humans and a bin for dog poo. Field is shared with a riding school just so you're aware

Great park with ovals, but we use for the separate off leash dog area so our dog can have a good run chasing the ball It also has a gravel agility section with water fountain and there's a bin near the closest parking area.
