Clayton Reserve
201-241 Macaulay Rd, North Melbourne, VIC
Clayton Reserve is a spacious urban dog park located in North Melbourne, Australia. The park features a large, open grassy area that provides ample room for dogs to run and play. It is predominantly an off-leash area, as evidenced by numerous dogs seen interacting freely across the grounds. The park is well-equipped with essential amenities, including several park benches for owners to rest and at least one picnic table for public use. Mature trees are scattered throughout the reserve, offering significant natural shade, which is complemented by paved walking paths that crisscross the green space. The perimeter is secured by chain-link fencing, particularly along the street-facing sides, providing a safe environment for pets in a busy city setting. While there is no dedicated parking lot visible, ample street parking is available directly adjacent to the park. The terrain is mostly flat but includes some sloped sections near the edges. The atmosphere is vibrant and community-oriented, set against a backdrop of city buildings and residential apartments. Facilities like trash cans are present, though specific dog-related amenities like water stations or agility equipment are not clearly visible.

10 reviewsNice good big dog park. Lots of grass area, few trees and seats, a couple of drinking fountains for humans and their pets. It's all fenced off so they don't escape if your pet is a runner. Can be a little hard to get a park sometimes but my dog loves it there.
Great spot for dogs with no recall, but I’ve lost count of the amount of dog fights I’ve witnessed here. A lot of people bring poorly trained dogs here, and because it’s a relatively small, fenced in area, there’s nowhere for dogs to escape …

Great enclosed dog park, with fresh water. There are always plenty of dogs and dog lovers there, most of whom do the right thing. Just be careful of the uneven ground and holes from dogs digging.

A great, safe place to bring your dogs for off leash fun. Our puppy had a great time meeting other dogs.
