Aberfeldie Park Dog Off Leash Area
50 Rutherford St, Moonee Ponds, VIC
Aberfeldie Park Dog Off Leash Area in Australia provides a versatile environment for pet owners, featuring both expansive open parkland and a dedicated fenced enclosure. The main park area consists of vast, well-maintained grassy fields perfect for long-distance fetching and walking along the scenic Maribyrnong River. A paved concrete path winds through the park, accommodating both pedestrians and cyclists. The specific fenced dog park section utilizes a durable dirt and gravel surface, which is ideal for high-traffic play and prevents the area from becoming muddy. This enclosed space is secured by a sturdy chain-link fence with wooden support posts. Facilities within the fenced area include a specialized stainless steel dog water fountain and wooden benches for owners to rest. While the fenced area is mostly open to the sky, the surrounding park is dotted with mature eucalyptus and palm trees that offer ample natural shade. The overall atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, catering to a variety of dog breeds and sizes. The park's topography includes gentle slopes and natural wetland areas near the river, adding to the visual appeal and variety of the landscape.

Reviews
6 reviewsThe park is now not dog friendly. Groups of kids on bikes have been terrorising dogs and owners. They are destroying the parklands. Council is not taking any steps to protect the public.

Great park for dogs, running, sports. It’s a massive park overlooking the lake which is beautiful! People are lovely and friendly; heaps of parking space.
