Mont Albert Reserve Dog Off Leash Area
10 Melrose St, Mont Albert North, VIC
Mont Albert Reserve Dog Off Leash Area is an expansive public park in Australia characterized by its vast, well-manicured grass fields and scenic views of the distant city skyline. The park provides a massive open space for dogs to run freely, making it a popular destination for local pet owners. The terrain is a mix of large, flat expanses—likely used for community sports—and gentle grassy slopes. Mature eucalyptus and other trees line the borders, offering significant natural shade for visitors. While the park features chain-link fencing around specific sports ovals and along certain boundaries, it functions as an integrated community space rather than a dedicated, fully enclosed dog run. On-site amenities include a children's playground with slides and climbing structures, as well as tall floodlighting poles that facilitate evening activities. The atmosphere is vibrant and social, often shared by dog walkers, families, and sports enthusiasts. The presence of white boundary lines on the grass suggests the area doubles as a multi-purpose recreational ground. It is a clean, picturesque environment that caters to both active play and relaxed strolls.

It's okay. The grass ground gets very boggy in winter and they often close the park for chemicals they re using on it without much notice. Also it gets a very mixed crowd

My dog loves to bring me here. There are restrooms, drinking fountains, playground for kids, benches... Practically most everything humans expect to find in a park.
Never been there. Why am I getting notices??????
Except for small section it is fully fenced. The park has a very dedicated and friendly "Friends" group. Always lots of dogs (and humans) to interact with. There is also a childrens playground and a basketball court just outside the fence
