Point Nepean Rd Service Rd &, Beverley Rd, McCrae, VIC

4.7(28 reviews)

Rosebud Beach Dog Off Leash Area provides a versatile and scenic environment for canine exercise, featuring both a wide sandy coastline and an adjacent grassy parkland. The beach area is characterized by its expansive shoreline and shallow, calm waters, which are perfect for dogs that enjoy swimming and splashing. A prominent rock seawall and a paved walkway run alongside the beach, bordered by iconic, colorful beach huts. Transitioning inland, the park offers a large, open grassy field intersected by well-worn dirt paths, providing plenty of room for high-energy play. Mature trees are scattered throughout the grassy section, offering patches of natural shade for both pets and their owners. Basic amenities include park benches for resting and conveniently located trash cans. While the park area is partially enclosed by chain-link fencing and residential boundaries, the beach remains an open, unrestricted space. The overall atmosphere is tranquil and welcoming, offering beautiful coastal views and a sense of community for local dog owners seeking a spacious off-leash destination.

With fresh water showers, clean toilets, multiple clean, free, undercover bbq's and clean water to play in. It's a great place for human and canines alike.

Really lovely and clean, shallow water. Bobby met Max, a rescue poodle and a 12 years old pugalier. Revisited in Jan 2025. It is no longer an all day off lead dog beach in summer. In summer (Dec to Feb) Off lead dogs are welcome before 10am and after 6pm only. March to November dogs allowed off leash at all times.
