Whittlesea Public Gardens Fenced Dog Park
160 Barry Rd, Lalor, VIC
Whittlesea Public Gardens Fenced Dog Park offers a well-equipped and spacious environment for canine exercise. The facility features multiple securely fenced areas, allowing for the separation of dogs if needed. The primary ground surface is natural grass, though there are designated patches of mulch and gravel, particularly around high-traffic zones and agility equipment. The park includes basic agility features such as a tunnel and hoops to keep dogs mentally and physically engaged. For owners, there are benches strategically placed throughout the area for resting. The park is part of a larger public garden complex, which includes a playground with swings, a skate park, and a modern toilet block. Mature eucalyptus trees provide significant natural shade across various sections of the park. A dedicated water station is available to keep pets hydrated during their visit. The atmosphere is open and inviting, with large grassy expanses suitable for long-distance fetching. The perimeter is secured with black chain-link fencing, ensuring a safe off-leash experience for all visitors.

Very average dog park - poorly maintained by Council, lots of "bombs" left in the long grass by non caring patrons, no incentives for dogs to enjoy, just a blank paddock, with a fence. There are many more great smells in the adjoining park, even if on lead.
