Hinkler Reserve Dog Off Leash Area

77 Hinkler Rd E, Glen Waverley, VIC

4.1(9 reviews)

Hinkler Reserve Dog Off Leash Area is a spacious, naturalistic park characterized by its expansive green lawns and mature eucalyptus trees. The park offers a mix of open grassy fields, ideal for running and playing fetch, and more secluded wooded sections with dirt and gravel walking paths. The terrain features gentle slopes and is bordered by residential wooden fencing in some areas, though it appears to be an open reserve rather than a fully enclosed facility. Large high-voltage power lines cross over one of the main open spaces, which provides a significant amount of room for dogs to roam freely. While the park lacks formal man-made structures like agility equipment, benches, or picnic tables in the visible areas, it provides ample natural shade from the dense tree canopy. The atmosphere is peaceful and rustic, offering a suburban bushland experience for dogs and their owners. The ground surface is primarily natural grass with some dirt paths. This reserve is best suited for owners seeking a large, open environment for their dogs to explore in a natural setting.

Bushland, the playground, however, not modern, needs an up grade. Has a small fenced-in Bushland dog friendly area. However, the parks boundaries are not fenced in, which is disappointing considering it's listed as dog friendly.

Dog off leash park (except near playground and a small fenced area where dogs must be on a lead). Not huge but nice and shaded with a figure 8 loop track. Gravel path so would only be suitable for off road prams. Access from multiple side …

Dog off leash park with gravel track, poo bags and drinking tap provided. Majority of dog owners who frequent this park are responsible pet owners. There are several benches available along the track and bins provided at the 3 exits
