Fleming Park Dog Off Leash Area

47-51 Albert St, Brunswick East, VIC

4.6(22 reviews)

Fleming Park Dog Off Leash Area in Australia offers a vast and inviting environment for dogs and their owners. The park is characterized by its expansive, well-maintained grass fields, which provide a large space for off-leash exercise and play. Mature eucalyptus and other deciduous trees are scattered throughout the area, offering significant natural shade for hot days. The ground surface is primarily grass, though some areas have transitioned to dirt due to high foot traffic, and gravel paths meander through the space. Facilities include several sturdy metal benches, some positioned on concrete pads, and a green sheltered seating area. While the park features some low-level fencing along certain boundaries, it appears to be a partially enclosed urban space rather than a fully fenced-in enclosure. A unique natural feature is the adjacent river or creek, providing a water element for adventurous dogs. The park is equipped with lighting poles for visibility during dawn or dusk and trash cans for waste disposal. Its atmosphere is serene and open, bordered by residential buildings and offering views of local landmarks, making it a staple for the local community.

This park was renovated last year and now has secure, well-lit parking on-site. The oval is spacious, making it great for dogs to run around, but the perimeter can get quite muddy after rain, so gumboots are a good idea. If you're planning …

Large off leash dog park and my local park. Secure and always has lots of dogs visiting. Has a Taco truck on Thursday nights, delicious food!

Great park. Only downside is occasionally Harbingers of Spiritual Decay take up the entire oval to play cricket.

Agree. Fleming Park is great for dogs and people. A fence would make it safe for children and dogs and their parents / owners. A continuation of the existing fence on Albert St to enclose the remainder of the park would be fabulous.
