Macleay Park Dog Off Leash Area
101 Belmore Rd, Balwyn North, VIC
Macleay Park Dog Off Leash Area in Australia offers a sprawling, multi-use recreational space characterized by its vast open green fields and mature eucalyptus groves. The park features a large, well-maintained grassy oval, which includes a cricket pitch, making it ideal for long-distance fetch and high-energy exercise. Surrounding the main field are wooded sections with dirt paths and natural leaf litter, providing a more sensory experience for dogs and ample shade for owners. While the area is designated for off-leash use, it is not a fully enclosed or fenced dog park, relying instead on natural boundaries and distance from roads. Facilities visible include standard council trash cans and a pavilion building that likely provides public toilets. The atmosphere is serene and community-oriented, particularly during dawn and dusk when local residents gather. There are no specialized agility equipment or separate zones for different dog sizes, but the sheer scale of the park allows for plenty of personal space for various activities.

Reviews
3 reviewsReally open space with well maintained grounds
There are 3 large playing fields in Macleay Park and a netball pitch, but a lot of space around the playing fields to walk a dog off lead. It's a great walk (about 1.5 km, I guess) to walk all the way around the park. Lots of parking, too, …
Great place to walk while the kids play soccer
