Darebin Parklands Dog Off Leash Area
2 Smith St, Alphington, VIC
Darebin Parklands Dog Off Leash Area is an expansive and diverse recreational space located in Australia. The park features a mix of large, open grassy fields and more natural, wooded sections, providing ample room for dogs to run and explore. The terrain includes flat areas as well as gentle slopes. While much of the parkland is open, there are specific fenced sections designed for dog exercise, as evidenced by chain-link fencing and gated entries. Facilities are well-provided, including water fountains for both humans and pets, picnic tables, and BBQ areas. A dedicated children's playground with modern equipment is also available on-site, though it is separated from the main dog areas. The ground surface is predominantly natural grass, with some dirt paths and mulched areas under trees. Mature trees throughout the park offer significant natural shade. The overall atmosphere is peaceful and community-oriented, catering to dog owners, families, and nature enthusiasts alike. A detailed map at the entrance helps visitors navigate the various trails, parking lots, and designated off-leash zones.

Great place to take your dog especially if they love to swim like mine. It’s massive in size and plenty of places to have your dog off leash. It runs alongside a river and there are many places you can let your dogs go wild in it. …

A really great facility with access to the creek, some bushy areas and fields, my dog loved it. No chance of cyclists in that area which is a bonus for us. Be careful on the rocks in the river they can be slippery & move.
Terrific outdoor space. Great place to walk dogs too.
There are rivers and lakes, but the mud is not suitable for dogs to swim in.
