Devonport Dog Park
260b Steele St, Devonport, TAS
The Devonport area features several dog-friendly spaces, including the Sheffield Community Bark Park as shown in the images. This specific facility offers a large, fenced-in grassy area dedicated to off-leash exercise. The park is equipped with essential amenities such as a trash can for waste disposal and a picnic table for owners to rest. The fencing is a mix of wooden posts with wire mesh and standard chain-link, ensuring a secure environment. Within the park, dogs can enjoy open spaces for running and a concrete tunnel for basic agility play. The ground surface is primarily natural grass, which shows some wear in high-traffic areas. Beyond the fenced enclosure, the surrounding region provides beautiful natural scenery, including river access, coastal views, and walking paths through wooded areas. While the park itself is mostly open, nearby trees provide some natural shade. The atmosphere is peaceful and rural, offering a spacious retreat for dogs and their owners to enjoy the outdoors together.

Lovely safe and supportive environment for dogs to play off leash.

Great dog park. Gets a lot of visitors. People and dogs were friendly.
One very large dog park with shelter with two gate system, water and dog training area
Park was monopolise by two people sitting at a table with their dogs sitting at their feet This could be done anywhere so others with dogs that run around could have freely used this beautiful facility
Great place to let my dog stretch his legs, free of the leash. Heaps of room to run and play
Nice size park, a little away from houses so not too worried to disturb neighbors. The agility area is funny though, must be for tiny dogs ;)
Great facility, reasonably well maintained. Also readily available. We travel from Ulverstone because we can guarantee it is available and not shut down for the Ulverstone Kennel Club or the twice weekly dog training sessions. Ulverstone. Punchily could learn from this, but I’m sure the won’t
10 mins from disembarking the spirit of Tasmania, this was a safe and ideal spot for my pups to stretch their legs. It has a bin, poo bags, water, a box of toys for play and an agility area. And the area is fully fenced, plenty of parking.
