Upper Sturt Dog Park
189 Sturt Valley Rd, Upper Sturt, SA
Hazelmere Road Reserve, situated within the City of Marion, provides a comprehensive and well-designed dog park facility. The park is divided into two distinct fenced sections: one specifically for small dogs and another for dogs of all sizes, ensuring a safe environment for different temperaments. The entire area is secured with high-quality black chain link fencing and features a double-gate entry system for added security. The landscape is diverse, offering wide-open grassy spaces for running, gravel paths for walking, and a beautiful, dense grove of tall Eucalyptus trees that provides ample natural shade and a forest-like atmosphere. For owners, the park includes a sheltered area with multiple benches, allowing for comfortable supervision. Adjacent to the dog-specific areas is a children's playground with a woodchip surface, making it a family-friendly destination. The ground surface is primarily a mix of grass and natural dirt trails, though some paved paths and asphalt sections are present. Signage at the entrance clearly dictates off-leash rules and park etiquette. Overall, the park offers a spacious, naturalistic setting that caters to both active play and quiet exploration.

How this hole has a rating at all mystifies me. This should be removed from maps

This is a terrible idea for a dog park - needs to have the concrete removed to be any use to anyone.
Great park
A bitumised court. Boring.
Upper Sturt Dog Park is at the junction between Sturt Valley Rd and Ironbank Rd. It started as tennid courts built by the locals, particularly the Evans family for their children to play tennis about 50 years ago. It has been converted to a dog park for dogs to play.
Waste of council money to convert bitumen tennis courts to dog park. Yet to see a dog there
Dog park? It’s just an old tennis court. It’s a disgrace to even call it a dog park. I’ve never seen anybody use it. If you took a dog there in summer, it’d burn its feet. What a joke!
What's a dog to do?
