Tarro Dog Off-Leash Area
48 Weingartner Ave, Tarro, NSW
Tarro Dog Off-Leash Area is a sprawling, open-space park characterized by its vast, flat grassy fields and natural surroundings. The park offers a mix of well-maintained short grass areas and more rugged sections with mown paths through tall, dry vegetation, providing diverse sniffing opportunities for dogs. While the area is designated for off-leash use, there is no evidence of perimeter fencing in the images, suggesting it is an unfenced open space. Facilities appear minimal, though a children's playground with climbing equipment is located nearby, making it a multi-use community space. The park's atmosphere is quiet and rural, bordered by rocky embankments, residential areas, and a railway line. Shade is limited to the perimeter where mature trees are located, and the main activity areas are largely exposed to the sun. The ground surface is primarily natural grass, with some gravel access points that may collect water after rain. It is an ideal spot for dogs that enjoy long runs in wide-open spaces, though owners should be mindful of the lack of containment and proximity to the train line.

Dogs love it I loved it
Good for dogs 🐕 …
Great that there is somewhere to take dogs in that area but it was not well maintained (grass was very long). It would be great if it was fenced off as well so that we could take a dog that isn’t great at coming back straight away when called there.
Thers no bins and no fence at all but is so protected and far away from dangerouse road that honestly is one of the very few dog park where dogs really have enough space for run in a safe area so I don't think it needs a fence. The grass is …

Not great for dogs. No drinking water, waste bags or bins. Not fenced and long grass (snakes?!). No other dogs during my visit.
