Eddie Ward Park is a multi-functional urban park located in Surry Hills, Sydney. It offers a large, open grassy area that serves as a significant green space for the local community. The park is characterized by its mature canopy of trees, providing ample natural shade across the lawn and paved brick pathways. Key facilities include a modern skate park with a concrete bowl, and two distinct, fenced-in playground areas equipped with swings, slides, and climbing structures. For convenience, the park features a contemporary public toilet block and a dual-access water fountain designed for both people and dogs. Dog owners are catered to with waste bag dispensers, and the expansive lawn provides a suitable environment for off-leash exercise. While specific recreational zones like the playgrounds are securely fenced with metal railings, the main park area remains open to the surrounding streetscape. The overall atmosphere is one of a well-utilized, diverse community hub that balances active recreation with quiet green space.

I walked past here 9th June 2025 at around midday and I dropped my sunglasses. By a few steps I realised, and within seconds made my way back to the reserve and they were gone. Id keep an eye on your items in this area itโ€™s too ghetto and not many honest people around. I was so upset my sunglasses were swiped quickly no dust even ๐Ÿ˜ซ โ€ฆ
