Creek Reserve Rd, Speers Point, NSW

4.4(146 reviews)

Speers Point Fenced Dog Exercise Area is an expansive and popular off-leash destination situated along the picturesque shores of Lake Macquarie. The park is characterized by its large, open grassy fields, which offer plenty of space for dogs of all sizes to run and play. The entire area is secured by a sturdy black chain-link fence, providing peace of mind for pet owners. Facilities include multiple sheltered picnic areas with tables, benches for resting, and dedicated water stations equipped with bowls to keep dogs hydrated. While much of the park is open to the sun, several large trees and man-made shelters provide necessary shade. The park is well-equipped with essential maintenance tools like waste bag dispensers and trash cans. Its location adjacent to a parking lot and the waterfront adds to its appeal, creating a scenic and social atmosphere for the local community. The terrain is generally flat, making it accessible for most dogs and owners. The presence of lighting suggests it may be usable during early evening hours.

Great inclosed park. Only once iv had a unfriendly dog off leash there. But i told the man put him on leash n leave. Not welcome if not socialized n happy dog.. other than that. Me n my dogz love the place...

Nice open and new park. Plenty of shade from trees as well as the covered picnic table. Needed to be mowed when I visited and appears not to be maintained often enough during summer when the grass grows quickly.
