Sweetacres Park
Mentmore Ave, Rosebery, NSW
Sweetacres Park is a well-maintained urban park situated within a modern residential development. It features a large, open grassy area that serves as a central hub for the community. A key feature for pet owners is the dedicated fenced-off dog park, which provides a secure space for off-leash exercise. This enclosed area has a dirt and mulch surface and is equipped with practical facilities including a water tap with a bowl, a waste bag dispenser, and a trash bin. Throughout the wider park, visitors can find numerous benches positioned along a network of concrete walking paths, offering spots to rest. For families, there is a separate playground area with swings and a multi-level play structure set on a wood-chip surface. Mature trees around the perimeter provide patches of natural shade, while the open field is perfect for sunnier activities. The park's design incorporates gentle slopes and is bordered by contemporary apartment buildings, creating a pleasant and functional outdoor environment for both people and their dogs.

Toddler friendly, very nice playground with bbq set under the shade. However, there is no bathroom around, and water tap isnt working next to bbq grill.

This is a small dog park but still good for a quick run in the morning if you don't have a lot of time to walk your dog. Poop bags kindly provided by council and bins are very useful. Be aware there is no fencing around
