Forestville Dog Off-leash Area

Forestville Ave, Forestville, NSW

3.8(8 reviews)

Forestville Dog Off-leash Area is a spacious and versatile park featuring both large open grassy fields and shaded wooded sections. The park is well-equipped for dog owners, offering a fenced-in enclosure for secure play as well as expansive off-leash areas for running. Facilities include agility equipment like hoops and hurdles, multiple seating options such as metal and wooden benches, and picnic tables under shelters. For convenience, there are trash cans with integrated waste bag dispensers and a water station for dogs. The ground surface varies from lush green grass in the open spaces to a mix of dirt and mulch under the canopy of mature eucalyptus trees, which provide ample natural shade throughout the day. The atmosphere is peaceful and natural, bordered by residential areas and dense bushland. A small building on-site likely houses public toilets, and a playground area is visible in the background, making it a family-friendly destination. The park's layout effectively caters to different energy levels, from high-speed running in the fields to more focused training in the fenced area.

Needs lighting for night time and ideally something like agility installations for the dogs to do, especially now they’re not allowed on the ovals. Come on Warringah council you try taking a border collie to the same small enclosed area twice a day and see how they like it🤨 …
