Carey Bay Dog Exercise Area
68 Excelsior Parade, Carey Bay, NSW
Carey Bay Dog Exercise Area is a sprawling and picturesque off-leash destination situated on the tranquil shores of Lake Macquarie in New South Wales. This expansive park is characterized by its vast, well-maintained grassy fields that offer plenty of room for dogs of all sizes to run, play, and socialize freely. The landscape is dotted with numerous mature eucalyptus trees, which provide significant natural shade across the area, creating a comfortable environment even on warmer days. The park is equipped with essential facilities, including a dedicated fenced section featuring sturdy black chain-link fencing for added security. Visitors have access to on-site public toilets located within a brick building and conveniently placed trash cans to help maintain cleanliness. A gravel parking area provides easy access for those driving to the site. One of the park's unique charms is its proximity to the water, allowing dogs to enjoy the lakeside atmosphere or explore the small natural drainage channels that run through the grass. With its combination of open space, natural beauty, and practical amenities, it offers a serene and functional setting for the local canine community.

10 reviewsBiggest dog park I have come across, but not fully fenced. Has a creek through the middle. No shelter and only one park bench.
A nice open area but it could do with a fence around it or even part of the area.
It's not an enclosed dog park area. Just an open paddock. Was not easy to get to from Excelsior Parade, especially when walking. Also, I could not find any signage to the dog park.
One of The best of local off leash dog parks .grass sometimes a bit long .
